Delhi Charter Township Community Development Department

Soil Erosion & Sedimentation Control Program

On April 5, 2008 Delhi Township was designated by the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) as a Municipal Enforcing Agency (MEA) under Part 91 of Public Act 451 of 1994 and the Rules Promulgated.  As an MEA, the Township is now the agency that will review applications and provide permitting for Soil Erosion and Sedimentation Control (SESC) purposes.  Prior to this date, the Ingham County Drain Commissioner’s Office was the designated SESC agency for Delhi Township property owners.

The Township’s administration of the SESC program is handled by the Department of Community Development, as authorized by Township Ordinance No. 116 (2008). A copy of the SESC Ordinance and other relevant program materials may be obtained by clicking the links below.

Questions may be directed to the Department of Community Development by calling 517-694-8281.
